Ceramic Hybrid CHThe Ceramic Hybrid bearings also have Grade 5 ceramic balls with ABEC 5 chromium steel races. The balls used in these are Silicon Nitride Si3n4 and the seals are an LLB style. These seals keep out more contaminants and run freely than any other.
I bought these to replace some worn ones in a rear wheel and freehub. The freehub was a fiddly fit, even with the correct tools, and given that ceramic bearings are more prone to damage on fitting, I was a little concerned. But they came with fitting instructions, and with some care I pressed them in to perfection (so says I). 300+ miles so far and no problems: as smooth as you like. As always, excellent service and an excellent product from Wych Bearings.

I purchased these for my rear cassette as the previous bearings lasted less than a year. I took my time in installing them and followed the advise to ensure that they run without side pressure on the ceramic balls. They have done about 250 miles and do not have an play in them.
